Writing tools should sound like you, not like a robot
Unifora is a small, independent team building an AI writing assistant that edits for clarity and tone without erasing your voice. This is why we started, and how we think about the tool.
Where it started
Unifora began as an internal script one of our founders wrote to clean up her own release notes. Existing grammar tools caught typos but flattened every sentence into the same neutral tone. She wanted something that would tighten a sentence without making it sound like it came from anyone else. That script became the first version of Unifora in 2023.
Today the team is spread across three countries and split evenly between writers and engineers — on purpose. Every model change is reviewed by someone whose job is to notice when a rewrite loses meaning, not just when it fixes grammar.
How we think about AI writing
We don't think an assistant should write for you. It should shorten what's too long, clarify what's confusing, and match the tone you ask for — then get out of the way. That principle shapes every feature we ship, including the ones we've turned down.
What we optimize for
Your voice, preserved
Every rewrite is checked against your original meaning and phrasing patterns before it's suggested.
Speed without shortcuts
Suggestions appear as you type. We optimize for a tool you forget you're using.
Plain-language privacy
Our privacy policy is written to be read, not just filed. See exactly what we store and why.
Built with writers, not just for them
Editors and copywriters review model behavior weekly, not just engineers.
